As part of the Erasmus+ staff mobility program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nermina Zagora from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Sarajevo, visited the Institute of Architecture and Design at Riga Technical University (RTU), where she delivered two guest lectures.
The first lecture, titled “Urban Rooms of Sarajevo”, was held on April 23, 2025, and focused on the urban development of Sarajevo, with particular attention to public spaces and the challenges of urban transformation during the socio-economic transition. The second lecture, “Interior Dialogues: Big–Small. Private–Public. Project–Process”, was held on April 24, 2025, and presented the interior design process through practical examples—from concept to realization.
During her stay, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zagora held meetings with Prof. Andra Ulme, as well as with Dean Prof. Māra Liepa-Zemeša and Vice Dean Prof. Uģis Bratuškins. The discussions covered the previous participation of students from the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Architecture in Erasmus+ mobility programs, highlighting their successful integration into the teaching process at RTU. Experiences related to teaching organization and research activities were also exchanged, and directions for future cooperation between the two institutions were outlined.
This mobility contributed to strengthening institutional collaboration and the exchange of good practices, particularly in areas such as interdisciplinary teaching approaches and the integration of education with professional practice.
