The ecological crisis is more complex and challenging than the representation made by current hegemonic discourse on climate change. Considering this gap, the lecture will think about two of the most relevant contemporary issues: the urban and the environmental questions. It will argue the need to approach comprehensibly and mutually the urban and the environmental degradation processes to eventually set socioeconomic development within the biophysical limits of our planet.
